High School Retreat

The absolute biggest fear many of you have (me included) is being bored! Everyone has one of those days where nothing seems interesting, fun, exciting, or worth doing. Man I hate being bored!

But there is a difference between being bored in a moment and being bored for a lifetime. You know what I am talking about right? There are those people who just go through life seemingly indifferent, mediocre, or dissatisfied with everything. We often think of boredom as something that happens because there is nothing “out there” that is capturing our interests. However blame for boredom can really only be placed on us.

I want to live an interesting life. I want to be passionate about my spirituality, relationships, my life. Don’t you? So how do we do that? We live in a time where there is so much that is trying to attract our attention that we can get overloaded to a point that nothing grabs us.

This weekend we will find a way to break through the places of boredom in our lives so we can see our true potential for greatness. We will seek to recapture the joy of living a life of hope in Jesus and a life fulfilled by the gifts God has given us.

I can’t wait to be with you all there. We will leave the church building on Friday at 5:30 pm.

God Bless,
Jason
